OceanWings sail from AYRO on Canopée

As this history video reports, the magnificent Canopée boat using AYRO OceanWings sails was first prototyped on a small scale. https://youtu.be/2t8NGhnZl0I This Proof-of-Concept can be found in the next line of our 2016 news. A Proof-of-Concept is indeed the physical demonstration of the viability of the essential principle of the concept, while temporarily neglecting all that is secondary and a priori feasible. Ma Jun (237 A.D.) masterfully defined the demonstrator's approach with this phrase: "Empty arguments with words can in no way compare with a real trial that will show practical results".

  • March 2012: Bertin Technologies communicates on DGA Météore 's Upstream Research program on the impact of weather on operations, the Vehicle Mobility part being handled by CAR&D.
  • January 2012: Véléance releases the first video of Quat'Ode, the 4-wheeled electric utility motorcycle developed by Véléance and CAR&D.

2011

  • December 2011: Veolia Transport presents its 50-passenger double-decker horse-drawn shuttle for Mont Saint Michel. The video.
  • November 2011: Véléance's Tri'Ode S1 electric reclining tricycle is approved throughout Europe.
  • November 2011: The Simulation page of this site is updated with interesting simulation videos.
  • October 2011: the Businova tri-hybrid developed by Safra met with strong interest at the Strasbourg local authority trade fair. Dow Kokam's announcement is here.
  • October 2011: the 16th International Congress of Vehicle Dynamics took place in Mulhouse, with a good international turnout. The visit to the Schlumpf Museum was also a highlight.
  • September 2011: the Quat'Ode developed by Véléance and CAR&D exhibited among the most innovative vehicles at the ADEME Innovation Forum (celebrating its 20th anniversary) at the Palais des Congrès in Paris.
  • September 2011: the Iguana 26 makes a splash at the Cannes Motor Show and on TV.
  • August 2011: Bertin Technologies reports on the Meteor program here.
  • August 2011: Gilles Schaefer appointed Reviewer of the International Journal of Terramechanics.
  • July 2011: First operation of the Iguana 26 at sea and "landing" on the sand in Normandy.
  • June 2011: The SARI research program led by LCPC, now IFSTTAR, wins the President's Special Prize at the PREDIT meeting in Bordeaux.
  • May 2011: Véléance's Triode wins second place in its category at the Challenge Bibendum in Berlin. At the same time, public trials are very positive.
  • March 2011: First launch for the amphibious boat Iguana 26, which was then towed back to shore on its own and then on its trailer.
  • December 2010: Gilles Schaefer appointed member of the European Automotive Engineer Cooperation "Vehicle Dynamics" Technical Committee for EAEC Valencia 2011.

  • March 2010: Véléance presents the pre-production version of the Tri'Ode electric reclining three-wheeler at EVER Monaco.

2009

  • November 2009: Biro Inside 's Piaggio Porter Hybrid makes its first tests
  • October 2009: 15th SIA International Congress on Vehicle Dynamics in Lyon: CAR&D presentation
  • "Common Roll Stability Criteria for 4 and 2 wheelers, Application to Tilting Vehicles".
  • September 2009: Science et Vie magazine devotes an article to Véléance 's Tri'Ode in its October 2009 issue, to which CAR&D contributes. Market launch in 2010.
  • July 2009: The SIA published issue 800 of its magazine. As with all round issues, technical outlooks were presented by Section ST2 "Vehicle Dynamics", with the chapter on wheel motors written by CAR&D.
  • June 2009:INRETS / LCPC LEPSIS entrusted CAR&D with the motorization of the controls of an APRILIA MANA 850 motorcycle with a view to its robotization (throttle, front and rear brakes, steering). The prototype with its safety wheels.
  • April 2009: MC2's SuperLightCar, a serial hybrid for urban use, wins awards: Grand Prix du concours, Grand Prix des Inventeurs M6, Prix de la Chambre de Commerce de Paris, Gold and Silver medals at the Concours Lépine de Paris 2009.
  • March 2009: English site up and running.
  • March 2009: MC2 presents its hybrid cars at the Geneva Motor Show.
  • February 2009: Winner with Véléance of the ADEME (Agence Française pour la Maîtrise de l'Energie) call for projects for innovative low-carbon vehicles.

2008

  • December 2008: The Mov'éo competitiveness cluster publishes an international newsletter , "Mov'éo Make or Buy", showcasing the know-how of its SMEs. The Trends page of the first issue was written by CAR&D on the theme of "reclining vehicles".
  • October 2008: CAR&D is accepted as a member of the Mov'éo international automotive cluster.
