POC (Proof of Concept) / DEMONSTRATEURS
PROJECT
We offer a wide range of solutions for designing and building Demonstrators, POCs, LabCars and DemoCars:
- Around a technological brick developed by the customer, to design and build a complete vehicle POC
- Around an existing vehicle (including reverse-engineering), to develop and integrate a technological brick.
A demonstrator is an original vehicle incorporating at least the essential functions targeted by the development, without necessarily having the final components and/or processes, nor the ancillary functions.
This method has the enormous advantage of being very convincing and cost-effective for validating a concept involving several components. It must then be extended by the design and manufacture of pre-production vehicles, as described in the Production chapter.
This is the opposite of a "mule", an existing vehicle that is fitted with a new component, e.g. a new engine.
